WHAT AREAS DO YOU SERVICE?
We are located in Kona and service all the Hawaiian Islands. However, our cabinets can be shipped anywhere in the United States.
WHAT TYPES OF PROJECTS DO YOU DO?
We specialize in kitchen, bath, utility room, closets, offices, outdoor and garage cabinets for both residential and commercial remodels and new construction. Garage flooring is also available. We have a range of lines, options and colors to fit traditional and contemporary tastes for any project scale or budget where solid wood cabinets are desired. In addition, we work with a local fabricator to provide Cambria quartz countertops for any room. We also offer a beautiful line of cabinet hardware and custom copper sinks and vent hoods.
WHAT KIND OF SERVICES DO YOU NOT DO?
We do not:
Refinish or paint cabinets
Sell only door fronts
Make cabinets ourselves
Sell cabinet parts such as hinges or slides
WHAT ARE YOUR CABINETS MADE OF?
Our cabinets boxes are solid plywood. The doors are solid maple or birch, wood veneers over pressure treated plywood or in the case of laminates, MDF or industrial grade particleboard.
WILL THE DRAWER RAILS RUST?
Our rails are made of aluminum with zinc alloy to be rust resistant. We have yet to have a customer have an issue with their rails rusting. Of course, if there ever was a problem we would replace the problem part for free, no questions asked.
WHAT IS THE WARRANTY ON THE CABINETS?
Our cabinets come with a limited warranty on manufacturing defects. These warranties cover manufacturing defects and do not cover damage caused by wear and tear or weather conditions such as humidity. The length of the warranty depends on the line selected. Our home storage ODI line and our outdoor cabinet line has a lifetime warranty.
We will work with you to choose the best options for the weather conditions that exist on your part of the island. Some materials and door styles are better matched with various climates than others. It is also important for us to know if the property will be closed up for extended periods of time as closed up homes can cause humidity to rise significantly.
ARE THE CABINETS TERMITE RESISTANT AS THIS IS A BIG PROBLEM IN HAWAII?
Our cabinets are sealed right at the factory and delivered immediately without sitting around. In addition, we can suggest materials and installation procedures that make the cabinets more termite resistant than would normally be without these materials and procedures. Our outdoor cabinetry is made of polyethelyene which is termite proof.
We are also able to order cabinets as close to installation date as possible so they don’t sit around a job site for a long time. Pest control chemicals are not used on our cabinets. Such chemicals tend to leach into the home over time.
WHAT CABINET OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE?
We offer several lines of beautiful, solid wood traditional style cabinets as well as a very modern European style cabinet. We are also able to create custom sizes as needed. Roll-out shelves and Lazy Susan’s or Magic Corners for corner cupboards, and a large variety of other organization solutions are also available. We can also match any paint color offered by Sherwyn Williams.
I’M NOT QUITE SURE WHAT I WANT. CAN YOU HELP ME WITH DESIGN & LAYOUT?
Absolutely! We will work off your existing set of plans with your contractor or come to your home to discuss your project in person and take measurements. Our kitchen designer will provide a 3-D rendering of your kitchen along with your bid so you can see exactly what it’s going to look like and make changes as desired. If you are already working with a designer, we are happy to assist them and work with them as well.
DO YOU HAVE A MIN OR MAXIMUM PROJECT SIZE REQUIREMENT?
No project is too small or too big for us to support. All projects receive the same amount of outstanding customer support regardless of the size or price tag. That said, we only supply new cabinets in their entirety. We do not sell doors only and we do not refinish existing cabinets. For order’s more than 20 miles from Kona shipping will be more expensive.
HOW FAST WILL MY CABINETS COME?
Depending on the line ordered, the average delivery time after order is 4 - 6 weeks. Custom lines take longer. Unlike many of our competitors we are only shipping cabinets. Therefore, we are never waiting for a large container to fill which can take many months. Countertop orders are dependent on our fabricators schedule so delivery will be estimated at the time of order.
WHAT IF MY CABINETS ARRIVE INCORRECT OR DAMAGED?
Upon arrival and assembly, we inspect all cabinets for damage and accuracy to the order. Any replacements or missing items will be ordered immediately and flown form the mainland. The average time takes about a week. This is critical to avoid project delays and we pride ourselves on our superior customer service.
IS CABINET HARDWARE INCLUDED?
Cabinet knobs and handles are such a personal choice, this is not included in the price of your cabinets. However, we do offer a wide variety of hardware as a dealer for hardwareresources.com and offer our cabinet clients 20% off the retail price. Hardware resources has a wide variety of handles and kitchen organizational products. We would be happy to install them for you for a small fee.
WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT TERMS?
We require 60% of the invoice total up front to place the order. The balance is due upon scheduling of delivery to the job site. The cabinets are delivered by a local freight company and we will meet them at the property to insure the cabinets have no visible damage and the order is complete. We accept payment by check, cash and major credit card. We also offer financing options through “Finance by Cambria.”
